Kentucky Storms

Winter in KY means more ice than snow. Schools were all canceled last night, all except for Asbury. I guess since most of us live close to campus, they figured we could brave the ice, chip our way out our front doors and glide to class. I actually started class before Eric this semester. Spouses get to audit one class each semester for free, and Cassie and I are taking World Religions. The first class was a good introduction, and I think I'll really learn a lot (seeing as how right now I know next to nothing about other religions). For example, do you know what makes a religion a "world" religion as opposed to an indigenous/ folk religion or a modern religion? That's what we learned today. We also learned about how to define a religion. Characteristics? Function? Elements? Effects? History? Good stuff.

Simile Metaphor Collection

Elijah after running: My heart is beating like a coconut rolling down a hill.
Elijah on urination: Pee is like horses galloping out of the gate. Once they get started you just can't stop them.
Elijah: If school were a human I'd give it a wedgie.
Elijah: I am like a hot rod and I just want to be a plain old Ford
Elijah on the fruits of the spirit: I've got them all covered except self-control. Its like a tiny green tomato and the rest are all big ripe ones. Especially love. Its like the biggest tomato we saw in the garden tonight.
