Bed time

Putting Elijah to bed is always an adventure. He has to have a story, prayer time, lights out, a minute to snuggle and then we're allowed to leave his room. Last night he asked me an interesting question. After we prayed, he was getting comfy, turning his pillow over and over like a dog making its bed, and he stopped and announced, "Mommy, we need a pillow for Jesus." I told Him that Jesus could have my pillow since I would be getting up soon. That seemed to satisfy him.

That's so cute! I remember I used to feel bad if Jesus didn't have a seat at the dinner table. . .

What a cutie. That is such a great comment. It's good you have a blog to keep record of all the fun and cute things they say. I'm sure between the 3 of them, they come up with some pretty great lines!

Simile Metaphor Collection

Elijah after running: My heart is beating like a coconut rolling down a hill.
Elijah on urination: Pee is like horses galloping out of the gate. Once they get started you just can't stop them.
Elijah: If school were a human I'd give it a wedgie.
Elijah: I am like a hot rod and I just want to be a plain old Ford
Elijah on the fruits of the spirit: I've got them all covered except self-control. Its like a tiny green tomato and the rest are all big ripe ones. Especially love. Its like the biggest tomato we saw in the garden tonight.
