Wilmore, charming little town that it is, has a Christmas event each year where they light the tree downtown, have craft fairs, horse and carriage rides, and in the evening all of the downtown shops open up with live music and free treats for visitors. Polics block off the street at either end so people can enjoy milling around in the street. Santa pays a visit for the kids and all of the kids get treat bags courtesy of the local IGA. This year the owner of the IGA who has donated the hundreds of treat bags for several years was given a Corvette car by our local philanthropist, RJ Corman (one of the ten richest men in America or something like that). We didn't stay long because it was pretty cold that night for the boys to be out, but they got to visit Santa and get their treat and that's all that matters right?
